Elisa de Sousa

Elisa de Sousa is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. At this institution she obtained her Bachelor's degree (2003), her Master's degree with the thesis entitled "Kuass-type ceramics in the Algarve: the cases of Castro Marim and Faro" (2006), and her PhD, with the thesis entitled "The pre-Roman occupation of the Tagus estuary" (2011).

Since then, he has participated in several national and international research projects, mainly focused on the study of human occupations of the Iron Age and the Roman-Republican period in various areas of the Iberian Peninsula. In this context, she has also collaborated in several archaeological excavations in Portugal and abroad (Spain, Italy and Tunisia). She is the author of three books and more than 80 articles in collective works and national and international scientific journals in the field.
