Adolfo Domínguez Monedero is Professor of Ancient History at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Among his main lines of research is the study of Greek colonization in the western Mediterranean and archaic Greece. He has also been working on the analysis of the Phoenician presence in the Iberian Peninsula as well as the development of Iberian culture. He leads the research team "Hélade" of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, which has carried out a project to study historical topography in central Greece and has been and is Principal Investigator of several research projects focused monographically on the historical analysis of various regions of ancient Greece.
He is also a Corresponding Member of the German Archaeological Institute and a Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of History.
